Group reformer class
The studio's main format. Structured sessions led by a certified instructor.
Attentive movement practice in groups of up to six. Polestar Pilates method.
APPROACH
A biomechanics-based approach to movement. Safety through technique — no forced movement, no unnecessary risk.
Six reformers, six people, one instructor. With groups this small, the instructor can see everyone — and correct, support, and adapt accordingly.
A calm, light-filled space in the centre of the city — designed for focused work, without distraction.
THE METHOD
The reformer is Joseph Pilates' own invention — a carriage on rails with a variable spring resistance system, designed over a century ago. It allows deep work with the muscles responsible for posture and stability, without impact on the joints. It teaches the body to move well.
Alongside the reformer, the studio uses a barrel, trapeze table, and chair. The barrel develops spinal flexibility and mobility; the trapeze allows movement with resistance across different planes; the chair trains balance, stability, and strength — including through asymmetrical exercises.

FAQ
Yes. Reformer pilates is one of the safest forms of resistance training, thanks to the adjustable spring resistance and the support the equipment provides. In your first class, the instructor will explain how the machine works, the basic body positions, and the principles of movement.
Comfortable sportswear (without metal fastenings that could scratch the reformer) and grip socks with silicone dots on the sole. If you don't have any, we have them at the studio. Towels, water, and a changing area are also available.
Fitted or moderately close-fitting sportswear. Avoid very loose trousers — the instructor needs to be able to see how the muscles are working. Leggings and a sports top are ideal.
Two to three times a week is where most people notice a real change. The body needs time between sessions to adapt. If you are just starting out, begin with twice a week and see how you feel.
